Beckham facing chop from England squad

David Beckham faces the possibility of losing his England place as boss Fabio Capello gets ready to hand Aaron Lennon a recall. Lennon has made an impressive start to the season, working his way back onto Capello's radar. The 22 year old could be the long term answer Capello is looking for as he considers the possibility of another World Cup.

Capello stated that Lennon needed to show more confidence in his own ability.  But nonetheless, the world of football expects him to be named in Fabio Capello's squad later on - as they prepare for their qualifier against Croatia on September 9th.

Lennon is likely to come in as a replacement for the injured Theo Walcott.  But with Beckham making a less than impressive performance during the 2-2 draw with Holland, his long term place in the England set up could be called into question.
