Clearly our front row resources are so depleted we’ve had to borrow a player from the uni to make up the numbers. A bit worrying for next weeks prem game. Selection very much with the Sale game in mind and I’m all for the fringe squad players to get game time after all it’s them who have got us to the final.
Shame for Zac not to be fit but good to see the uni lad Batson getting another run out. A massive ask against a very strong Tigers team who have clearly targeted this as a comp they want to win.
Hope we can keep it competitive Chiefs 24 Tigers 42.

Tigers 31 - 24 Chiefs but hope I'm wrong.

Notwithstanding the fact that Tigers are putting out probably the stronger team and are playing at home, I shall go with my customary blind optimism:
Tigers 26; Chiefs 31

Tough one to call. Given Tigers are on home turf though I'm going to lean towards pessimism. Leicester 35 Chiefs 30.

I'm expecting a great final between to very good sides, a fair mix of younger players in the Tigers squad, not too familiar with some of the Chiefs. Home advantage will hopefully carry us over, but I'm expecting a battle.

This will be a great experience for some of the inexperienced people in our squad and I am sure they won't let us down.
We have a big game coming up next weekend so I guess it's a team selected with one eye on that.
Good luck lads 🤞

Odd that we've chosen to field, arguably, our weakest/most inexperienced side in the final.

It just goes to show how little importance the clubs place on this competition. With each club choosing to use each game in what ever way they see fit at the time. It's a shame that with such a small league rugby can't find space for a meaningful cup competition. I'd like to keep the prem cup as a development comp and have another first team cup comp if some sort.

Having said that it's a great opportunity for the lads. I would imagine the experience of the Tigers side will be too much for us, but you never know. They have the edge up front with us really struggling to field enough props. I do think our backline has potential to be exciting, let's hope the weather is dry and we can play some quick running rugby. I hope we can make a game of it. I'm going for Tigs 35 Chiefs 19 how id love to be wrong though!

3-0 with a dubious penalty to Tigers in the 3rd minute. The remainder of the game played between the 10m lines.

Home advantage with a strong squad facing some inexperienced youngsters. Hopefully we will give it a rip but think it will be a bridge to far. Tigers 38 Chiefs 26.
