Sure he won't mind a weekend's rest.

It would be nicer to use some of the lads who've had no chance to play as yet.

Best I can tell, no. Not even sure if there's an online stream anywhere. Radio Devon perhaps?

Leaning towards pessimistic on this one. Chiefs 25 Sale 30

That is a very strong Sale starting 15!!! Any kind of result will be a bonus I feel, I'd take a LBP. Sale 31 - 26 Chiefs 🤞

Well, we got what we wanted, giving the '2nd string' some game time. I guess Sale thought we'd go full on! I can see a thumping on the horizon .......... Sharks 35 Chiefs 21

Good to see Rob's rotated the squad for this one. More second XV than development if we really wanted to be picky, but after the last couple of years, it's good to see us not go full strength. Hopefuly the pack can do well and give Chapman & Coen a chance to create some chances for our backs. It's gonna be a tough one though:

Agree with comments above. Sale is close to a prem team and we've gone the right way.. unfortunately that means we may be in for a tough game. I am less pessimistic than some and think we will hold them closer. Sale 29 Ex 23

Agree it will be a tough challenge against a very strong sale side, but experience is valuable to the younger players as they start their rugby journey. Hard to see us getting much points wise and with the horrendous weather forecast it could be a forward dominated kicking game and one you don’t really want the ball too much. With us not starting with any specialist 2nd row players the line out could be a struggle! Not sure there is much value in PBB being on the bench tbh, he’s streets ahead of the starting wingers.

Don't think any of the Chiefs supporters can moan about Sale selection given our policy over the past two years and has been stated Sale only have circa 6/7 of that team who would start in the Prem. Exeter have a lot returning from injury such as Capstick or played a quite a few games in the Prem so not full of youngters as the general consensus and would probably be in the first team in we didn't have the galacticos this season so expecting a close game

A wet Friday night in Salford is a daunting enough prospect. Throw in a Sharks team littered with several front line players and I think we’ll have a real challenge on our hands, so I can see this one running away from us.

Listened to the commentary and ignoring the atrocious weather the result was as we all expected a very heavy defeat. Our forwards were second best all the game, out muscled, out powered and going backwards at every set piece conceding penalty after penalty. Despite all the law changes over the years rugby is simple forwards win you matches and that was the case last night. Unfortunately it was a mismatch but that happens sometimes in this competition.

Having watched the game certainly one of two halves and half backs. Sale 9and 10 were excellent admittedly behind a dominant pack whereas Chiefs HB had a night to forget. If Coen is to be the future would suggest rather than being cocooned he needs to be playing somewhere on loan regularly to get used to men’s rugby and just get game time as this was evident yesterday with poor game management from both.
Hopefully good learnings though for all.

Credit to the Radio Devon crew for enduring that, on multiple levels. A very raw side got given quite a reality check. Ah well, there's always next season.

It shows that Tuima, Pearson and Moloney can not be the future of this club

I'm not saying you're wrong, but as much of the second and back row is technique, as opposed to sheer brute force, perhaps this gives our coaches exactly what they need to work on? No apology for glass half full 🙂
