Not much expectation on the Falcons forum.

Sale have leapfrogged us again, need some points out of this one.

To be honest if we don't take 5 points from a much changed falcons side then we have no chance of winning the title! Don't think this will happen though. Having watched tonight's game, I can't see us not being champions again! Both Bears and Sharks are easily beatable! Bristol are not physical enough and sale can only play in one way!

I hope your words do not come back to bite us. I thought Sale looked highly motivated and well prepared to play "their" way, not to mention effective.

It was said very much with tongue in cheek, maybe didn't come across that way! Although Sale do play in only one way, it is a highly effective way! They are certainly coming into form at the right time. I personally feel Quins are a way behind, although they are capable of some great stuff their defence is a bit off where I think you need to be!

Any knock out semi of final are one off games - we all know that! we could lose to any of the three but we have been winners and there is no reason why we could not again. All on the day. I reallyhope we secure our home semi before the Sale match as if we get to the final we need all our top players fit. Similarly please no red cards in the next three matches and no more serious knocks. We need five points from each of the next two matches.

still think Bristol know they have won the league and are keeping back moves for the knock out games

Bristol haven't won anything yet and, like us over the past few years, coming top won't change that. Unfortunately, to win this league scoring the most points from 22 games over a period of about 8 months only gives you the right to play off for your chance to play 1 or 2 of the 3 teams who finished below you.

As others have said, once you get to knock-out rugby, anything can happen. Bristol may not even make it past the first play-off.

Sale play Quins at the AJ Bell next Friday which should decide who finishes 3rd and 4th. If Sharks win they will have at least 72 points which would guarantee them 3rd spot. We have an outside chance of top but Bristol would have to slip up against either Tigers (A) or LIb(H).
