Back to the AP v Falcons

It's back to Premiership action this Friday with the Chiefs making the long treck North to take on Newcastle Falcons.
Chiefs record v Falcons in AP
| Played | Won | Lost | Points For | Points Against | |
| Total | 10 | 9 | 1 | 275 | 137 |
| Home | 5 | 4 | 1 | 127 | 68 |
| Away | 5 | 5 | 0 | 148 | 69 |
Given the stats, apart from the one defeat this would appear to be a nailed on victory for the Chiefs but we all know how reliable stats can be! If you look at this season for instance Falcons have one more win than Chiefs.
They have however just two losing bonus points whereas the Chiefs have gained three LBP and 3 TBP so lie 2 points and two places above Falcons in the table. Chiefs have scored 166 points to Falcons 89 although they have conceded 3 more than Falcons with 161 to 158.
Home games at Kingston Park this season have shown wins v Bristol (19-14) and v Sale (19-17) with 1 loss v Tigers (13-14). This would suggest that Falcons at Kingston Park are becoming a pretty tough place to beat there and it's likely to be a close affair on Friday. However I still think the Chiefs are starting to show some of last season's form and will be looking to put a marker down for the rest of the season. It will be good to see Will Chudley back in action and the possible return of Don Armond is likely to give the team a big lift.

Good luck to the travelling Tribe who will need to be in good voice in what may be a sell out game.
