Here we go then, just 5 games to decide what we'll get out of the season
Here we go then....
Just 5 regular season games left the to decide whether we reach the play-offs, have European Championship rugby or a very disappointed feeling to deal with. Sorry for adding the latter but it is a very remote possibility. However I think we've had enough disappointment this week with the LV=Cup defeat and the news that Captain Fantastic, Dean Mumm is leaving us at the end of the season.

Far from leaving a downbeat attitude within the squad I can see this adding an edge to our game. The guys will quickly put the cup defeat behind them and want to send the Captain on his way with a successful end to the season. Not that this will be easy given the run in Chiefs have, starting with a visit to Welford road.

A repeat of the result a couple of weeks ago would go down nicely but both sides won't resemble those in the cup match. In fact both are likely to be at close to full strength (barring injuries) which makes for one very tough result to call. Tigers have misfired a lot this season and will want to avenge tge cup defeat and Chiefs come into the game with 4 straight premiership wins under they're belt. I'll be travelling up to this one with The Tribe with a sense of nervous anticipation about the result but looking forward to making a lot of noise! So I'm going to duck making a prediction of the outcome other than the certainty that my voice will go.

Is there not a contractual rest period for England players or did I imagine that? Tigers will be without Cole, Parling and the Youngs. Leicester have strength in depth, but there are more holes to fill than Chiefs who would only lose Jack.
Could be an interesting one....
