Just a quick look forward to the weekend when Wasps visit Sandy park
Chiefs v Wasps
Just a quick preview of this weekends visit of Wasps to Sandy Park. I'm a bit unsure of what to write following the first weekend of AP action. Chiefs were well and truly undone at Franklin's Gardens whilst Wasps came within an inch or two of a win at HQ.
So, what's likely? Well, Sandy Park is a tough place for anyone to come and the Chiefs will be fired up to get the season back on track. Added to this Chiefs have a very good record against Wasps securing both home and away victories last season. We all know how dangerous their wide men can be so Chiefs will be looking to starve them of ball. It looks like it's going to be wet and windy, which means kicking could be problematic. Hopefully we'll see the Chiefs handling back to the quality shown last season and the breakdown area being attacked with speed and enthusiasm. It will be interesting to see Rob Baxter's selection with young guns like Sam Hill and Henry Slade pushing hard for a starting slot. However I doubt we will see wholesale changes to the side who played last week. As for Wasps I don't suppose they'll make many changes either particularly at 10 where our Goode friend played so well last week.
It's unlikely I'll be at the game as I'm up to my ears in packing boxes :-( but if I can't be there I'll listen to Nigel and John on dear old Radio Devon. Whatever happens let's heear the Tomahawk Chop ringing Loud and Proud.
