LittleMissChief looks forward to the Chiefs (and her) trip to Italy in the Amlin Cup.

“I Capi di Exeter sta Venendo” – The Chiefs are Coming!

Round 5 of the Amlin Cup takes us to Italy, to face Cavalieri Prato in the away leg.  This pool is finely poised, with Chiefs and Perpignanboth sharing top spot on 15 points.  Only the pool winners will progress to the quarter finals of the cup and Chiefs stand a very good chance of securing top spot this weekend.  In the home leg back in November, we beat Prato by a whopping 68-0, crossing the whitewash ten times.   Pratois the only team not to win a game in this pool, and Chiefs are hoping it will stay that way.  So hopes are high for securing a bonus point win away from home this weekend and place us in a very strong position for the Chiefs final pool match at home to Perpignan on 21^st January 2012.  

I along with a number of other fans will be making the long but eagerly anticipated trip to Italyto cheer on the lads.  Some are flying out on Thursday, with the remainder of us will be flying out on Friday.  Having just checked the weather forecast inPrato, it is forecast to be dry, sunny and about 11%, so looks to be ideal playing conditions.  

So, I’ve been stitching some elastic onto my new headdress, trimmed about an inch off my Chief’s flag pole so it fits in my suitcase, invested in a new tomahawk, packed my European Chiefs  t-shirt and located my face paints and” BR Fan Club” Wrist Band.  So with passport and Italian Phrase Book in hand, flight and hotel confirmation bookings printed off and currency obtained,  Me and my son are ready for the off. 

So, to all the travelling tribe “viaggio sicuro” and “la veda in Italia”, translated as “Safe Journey” and “See you inItaly”.

Can't make this trip but have a great time and remember to try to take in a little cultural time in Florence as it is a very beautiful city.

You jammy @#$%&! As a Quins supporter who went last year it was the best away trip ever, even better than Sandy Park! Mind you we did stay in Florence (trains are very good and cheap) and weather was warm.
Hope it's good for all going and have a great time.

I'm jealous too!!! Start of the season my target was all league games and as many "others" as possible. Perpignan and Newport were achieved-decision not to go to Prato is now not seen as the right one wish I was going. Perpignan was b----y fantastic so I thought Italy would not be so great. Never mind though I do have Sale & Newcastle in the locker along with the rest of the league.

I am also very jealous. Mrs RedWine made my decision for me though .. .

Let's take a half glass full view though (RedWine of course). Good win in Prato and a win next week and we could be on the road again. And, provided I'm not booked, if it's furrin parts, I'm there! And you too I think?

Chief chopper and I travelled from Gatwick to Pisa with several others from the tribe today. Some have headed to florence, some straight to Prato, but we decided to experience a day in Pisa first. Wow, first sight of leaning tower from our bedroom window, and further investigation has not disappointed. We are now enjoying a bottle of chianti in a trattoria as the beer is very expensive (shame but you have to make economies somewhere!!) Prato tomorrow to catch up with the tribe. Eager to hear news from the camp.

think us non season ticket goers who attend prato should get a ticket for the game next week, im broke but cant miss it, especially if its a decider! please mr Rowe can i have 2 free tickets? just this once?

We're on the way to Prato. Sat in Wetherspoons in Gatwick eating breakfast and partaking in a wee beer. Bring it on. Sorry not trying to rub it in

Oh yes you are 3WOMW, you lucky person wish I was able to go. Maybe next season, have to take the family tho.
