Leeds Rhinos have announced that they have promoted 4 new young players to the first team squad which came from an x-factor style group of young talent chosen by the Head of Youth Performance, John Bastian. The young talent will start training with the best club side in the World from today.

Leeds Rhinos have announced that they have promoted 4 new young players to the first team squad which came from an x-factor style group of young talent chosen by the Head of Youth Performance, John Bastian. The young talent will start training with the best club side in the World from today. All the newly promoted players played in Leeds academy side which all made it to their Grand Finals. Also, 3 of the players earned international honours. A great achievement for both club and country.

Full back Ben Jones-Bishop, 19, hooker Paul McShane, loose forward Danny Allan, both 18, and centre Kallum Watkins, 16, have all come through the Leeds Rhinos' Youth development/academy system. The Rhinos are recognised as having one of the best academy systems in the country and in Rugby League as a whole.

To give you an idea of how good this system really is, 9 of the 17 man squad which played in the Carnegie World Club Challenge came through the Leeds Rhinos academy system.
