Gillingham travel to Chesterfield on Saturday to play a key game in the battle against the drop to League One. Gillingham Team News

The Gills go into the crucial game at Saltergate on Saturday with a some injury woes. Matt Jarvis and Duncan Jupp are difinatly out of the game with groin injuries.

Romain Larrieu remains in goal having extended his loan deal meaning that he will play two more games for The Gills. The deal comes with Kelvin Jack once again sidelined wit a knee injury.

Trio Gary Mulligan, Felix Bastians and Dean McDonald all face late fitness tests ahead of the game. They are suffering from thigh, knee and hamstring injuries respectively.

Chesterfield Team News

Chesterfield may have to do without goalkeeper Barry Roche who fell down his stairs, and he will have a fitness test ahead of the injury.

Sebastien Grimaldi and Mark Allot are ruled out of contention for the game, but Phil Picken, Jamie Ward and Jamie Jackson could make the first sixteen.

"We are not mathematically safe as yet and will keep on going. Chesterfield are fighting for their lives. They beat Crewe on Saturday and it will be a very difficult game. We knew the importance of the game against Bristol City and that result on Monday was massive for us. We go there in good heart after a very welcome three points.

"Look at the cup runs they had earlier this season. It is a difficult place to go. The report we had from their game on Saturday; they battered Crewe. We know it is going to be very tough. We will have to stand up to the physical affect on Saturday as Chesterfield will be throwing everything at us. They'll be looking for a win so we know that it will be all hands to the pump. Hopefully we can maintain what we did on Monday."

"Another tight game as all games will be for us until the end of the season. Ronnie says they aren't safe yet, but I think they are. He obviously wants his players to be focused on being mathematically safe. But we are focused on what we need to do which is to get the three points, which will take us nearer to safety.

"An interesting week injury wise one at home and one on the training ground. Barry Roche has fallen down the stairs at home and twisted an ankle so he's a doubt for Saturday. Michael Jordan's available, so we will have to wait and see who plays in goals on Saturday. Seb Grimaldi has jarred a knee in training so he looks doubtful after recovering from flu. Phil Picken's recovered though and the virus seems to have left the club that effected Jamie Jackson and Kyle Critchell. Alan O'Hare's back in training so there's really only Mark Allott missing who may back for Northampton besides Seb.

"We want the three points and we want to inspire our supporters to get behind us like they did last weekend both at home against Crewe and away at Cheltenham. Hopefully we will get the result after the ninety minutes and we stay 110% focussed on getting as many points as we can out of our last four games."
