Gillingham are in talks with free agent Neil Shipperley about a possible move for the striker. 'Tribal Football' claims that the Gills are keen on the 32 year old striker, who was recently relased by Sheffield UTD.
Shiperley, who was born in Chatham, was relased by the Blades on Monday and is yet to find a new club. Shipperly did help Crystal Palace and Sheffield UTD on their way to promotion to the Premiership.

Sheffield UTD manager Neil Warnock said about Shipperley: "I'm very pleased that we're able to help Shipps out as a thank you for last season. He's not had much of a chance this year, but he wants to play, he's got himself fit and, ideally, he wants to go back home to the south.

"I feel that we wouldn't have gone up last year after Christmas if Shipps hadn't come back in and played as well as he did."

With Shipperly claiming he wants to move back South, Gillingham could be the ideal club for him.
