Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson gives his views after the dissapointing four one defeat at Boundary Park. The Gills very rarely threatened Olham and were a far cry from the side who won three games on the bounce last week.
The Gills went down four one at Boundary Park with their only goal coming from a well taken spot kick by joint top goalscorer and team captain Mickey Flynn. But the Gills boss struglled to find any positves from the defeats.

The Gills were behind after just four minutes and speaking to the BBC Radio Kent the Gills boss said, "The way we started off was incredible, we came into it off the back of three on the spin and we've been playing with a smashing tempo, we'd been passing the ball well, but today we never got going. I thought we were lacklustre, that's putting it mildly.

"I thought all the way through we had a lack of thought, a lack of movement and passing, and they dictated us all over the park," said the Gills boss.

Simon Charlton scored seconds after the re-start, and speaking about the freak goal the Gills boss said, "I was actually taking my seat and Doc (assistant Mick Docherty) told me it just lumped it forward, and it took quite a big bounce, but for something like that to happen 5 or 10 seconds in, after we made a couple of changes at half time and tried to change one or two things it puts paid to that a little bit. It just summed the day up to be fair.

"Our plans went out the window a little bit in the first half, to be fair to the lads in the second half they stuck to it but it was more a case of huffing and puffing as opposed to the quality we've shown in the last few games," Jepson said.

Following the dissapointing performance and result, the Gills squad shall have to go in tomorrow (Sunday). The Gills play Leyton Orient on Tuesday hoping to improve on the poor performance. "You can't take many positives out of that, so what we'll do we'll be in tomorrow and analyse things, see where we went wrong, and then we've got a game on Tuesday at Leyton Orient, and hopefully we'll be back to where we've been in the last few weeks, because they weren't the same lads out there today that I've had putting out for me over the last few weeks.

I started Gary Mulligan and Ian Cox who haven't trained all week, I haven't really got the squad size to change too many things around but we'll go back to the training ground and try one or two things and hopefully we can put it back on track on Tuesday," said Jepson.
