Gillingham face Millwall in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, and the Gills will look to bounce back after a ver dissapointing defeat to Northampton Town at Priestfield on Saturday. Millwall on the other hand go into the game off of their first victory in League 1 this season

Darren Randolph's blunder on his debut gifted the Cobbler's the winner and is set to start against Millwall after Kelvin Jack being ruled out of the game due to a knee injury from the Bradford game. Guylian Ndumbu-Nsungu also looks set to start after impressing during the twenty minutes he played against Northampton. Mulligan looks set to miss out for Guylian after once again failing to find the net or impress. Gillingham won their first round tie last season against Oxford UTD, Matt Jarvis scored the winner in the 80th minute. The Gills then went on the beat Premiership outfit Portsmouth 3.2 at home in the next round. Byfield, a comical own goal by Ashdown and an extra time goal by Crofts gave the Gills victory.

Former Gills striker Darren Byfield shall miss the Carling Cup tie with the Gills. Byfield heard a crack during his second appearence for Millwall and it turned out to be an ankle injury which shall sideline him for several more weeks. Millwall will also have to do without striker Ben May, defender Mark Phillips and Tony Craig serves the last game of his 3 match suspension. Former Gills striker Gavin Grant could make his first appearence against the Gills since leaving the club.

Millwall Man To Watch: Niel Ardley: Ardley signed for Millwall during the summer from Cardiff. Ardley impressed during his time at Watford but moved to Millwall from Cardiff due to a lack of first team opportunity with the Bluebirds.
