Gillingham have been linked with the loan signing of Chester's Micheal Branch. The striker fell out with Chester manager Mark Wright which saw him transfer listed. He has since been removed from the transfer list but still hasn't played a game for the League 2 outfit.
A Gillingham fan site have claimed that both Gillingham and Rochdale have made enquiries for Branch.

Branch started off his career as an Everton striker, making his way into the side as a teenager. He then though played for Man City, Birmingham, Wolves, Reading , Hull, Bradford.

Last season Branch made 30 appearences for Chester finding the net only six times. It is also claimed that Chester chairman Steven Vaughan has said, "We've had enquiries from Rochdale and Gillingham about taking Michael on loan, so I'm leaving it up to the manager and the player.

"They've patched up their differences now so we'll just have to see what the manager wants to do and what the player wants to do but there is certainly no shortage of interest in him."

It would be an interesting signing considering Branch only found the net six times in League two, but Branch must have the talent and expierience to catch Ronnie's attention.
