Recent Republic of Ireland debutant Graham Barret has been signed to the Albion on a 2-month initial contract, probably with a view to buy Manger Martin Hinshelwood and Chairman Dick Knight today announced the loan signing of recent Irish debutante Graham Barrett to the club, initally for a two-month spell. Barrett is cuurently owned by Arsenal, so it is assumed that former Brighton manger and current Arsenal coach Liam Brady smoothed the deal along.

Graham Barrett made his Ireland senior squad debut in the match against Finland this month, and scored the Republics third goal of the match. It is assumed he will enter the Brighton
squad immediately because of this acheivement.

Wheter or not Barretts loan deal has an option to buy at the end is not yet known, ubt if he preforms well, there is no doubt Hinshelwood will be asking for the money to keep a hold on him.

Barrett is likely to take the place of his England U-21 opposite, Bobby Zamora, this Saturday against Portsmouth, unless Zamora can recover from his injuries quickly. I personally sincereley hope that he stays at the club, as I am Irish myself.
