After a short break, Albion return to action with a much more challenging run of 5 fixtures, beginning with an away day at Blackheath.
With Club in 4th place. immediately below Albion and on equal points, This match takes on added significance in the chase against the leading pair. Albion will be looking to repeat last season's 19-22 victory over Club and re-establish their away form after a pair of disappointing results. Club have only lost once at home this season and that was to the league leaders Rosslyn Park, their other loss was away to Birmingham Moseley who Albion eventually defeated a fortnight ago.
The packs look fairly evenly matched scoring and conceding almost identical numbers of tries, although Albion need to guard against Club's maul. The backs show some variation whilst conceding similar numbers of tries, Albion have scored almost twice as many, particularly amongst the back three. The first half could see quite a tussle between the packs as CLub seek to take control of the game as preparation for the second half, whilst taking any points that are on offer. Albion should distribute the ball out beyond the fly half and seek gaps in the defensive line.
Player to watch - William Harding. The veteran joined Club for the 22-23 The hooker has had an outstanding season scoring in every game so far, with two hat-tricks, and leads the league with 14 tries. Also look out for Fly Half Sam Morley - Played for Albion on a DR basis from the Chiefs in the 19/20 season. Joined Club from Esher this season. Has not appeared for the last two fixtures so may be injured.
Weather (forecast at 05/11) Dry with sunny Intervals with a light south-westerly breeze blowing across the pitch towards the stands. Slightly chilly.
Prediction: Likely to be a win for Blackheath with home advantage and Albion exhibiting away wobbles.
Other games of note: Rosslyn Park host the Tykes whilst Rotherham visit Mose. Expect results to go the way of Park and the Titans but there is always room for an upset.
