As has already been mentioned in an earlier post, the old green perimeter fencing at the North end of the ground adjacent to the car park has been replaced as you all know the original fencing which I think was one of a number of jobs that was carried out by Dawsey and the then squad members in order to enclose the ground when we moved to Brickfields and which in recent times was in a sorry state and as soon as it was repaired as well as could be expected by the F.A.B. team it wasn't long before the local lads wrecked it again to gain access to whatever they could lay thier hands on, which didn't amount to much just a sorry looking broken fence once more.

Earlier this summer the original solid metal fencing put in place by the council at the time was extended from the main entrance around to the back of the East stand and down to the back of the Midas and the containers there and then finished off with some razor wire to the corner of the ground meeting up with the old council fence again, which runs along the boundary to the Cumberland car park.

This is where they gained entry to the Supporters marquee, slashing the plastic gable end and all for a couple of tubes of sweets.

This shows where we covered the slashed area to keep it watertight.

But that wasn't good enough for them and the following week we had to do it all again, nothing taken.

Then the old Cuckoo clock hut was forced and broken, again there was nothing inside for them.

The descision to improve the security at the club was made although the money spent could have been better used on other things, here the old fence is being taken down as it is no longer able to do it's job having been systematically wrecked whenever they felt like it, there being no deterent.

The connection finally made, it looks strange to see the clubhouse from this angle, there not being a North end stand any longer.

Ironic, innit?

Right now we're trying to keep people out, in a couple of months, we'll be screaming that we've got to get more in...

Don't we have any CCTV. Remote webcams are pretty cheap these days.

But it was always going to be a problem thereabouts. My old offices just around the corner got broken into on a regular basis despite the alarm systems.
