Check your diaries, everyone - the next Supporters Lunch is set (as ever) for the first Wednesday of the next month (03 June). They've been running for almost two years now after a couple of stalwart supporters decided to get together for a bite to eat on a regular basis and put money into the Albion coffers. Since then, it's grown and grown! It's a no frills, no drama lunchtime event simply because the catering staff are all in place and it can take place without any additional cost to the Club. Even with drinks you'll probably get away spending less than a tenner. Advance booking is essential to make life easy for the staff. (Email as advised, or PM to stonehousealbion via this site.) The good news this time around is that it coincides nicely with half-term, so a few who can't normally make it may be able to attend. A BBQ is planned for August, so why not sign up for this one and check it all out in anticipation of the big summer event?
Once the event was established, the 200 Club decided to enact their monthly business at the same time. (NB - you do NOT have to be a member of the 200 Club or any other organisation to attend. ALL Albion supporters are welcome.) After the food, there is "Any Other Business" which includes the monthly draws (for paid-up 200 Club members), three meat raffles and a FREE bottle draw for all attendees (18+). All in all, there's a healthy chance you could be going home a whole lot better off than when you arrived! Depending on availability, there will usually be updates from Albi Travel, someone connected with the Club and the SPA Fans Trust.

waiverers, sitters on fences, busy bees, floating voters, the Great Undecided, the meek (you never know when that inheritance might pop up...), Supporters Lunch virgins, veggies (we can work it out!), wall flowers, the too traumatised by relegation for social interaction, ladies who lunch, amnesiac 200 Club members, last minuters, those of simple tastes, midday tipplers, gardeners (stick with me on this one), the "Is it almost September?" mob, minor league gamblers, or any other supporter of Plymouth Albion -
now is the time to make your mind up if you're coming to next week's Supporter's Lunch. We've already got a healthy list of attendees, but have room for plenty more. With Vince away in sunny Mediterranean climes, it would be great sport if we could get more than the usual total when he's around... Check with anyone who may be interested and PM me with numbers and choices by the end of the weekend. The catering staff need final numbers by Monday midday. (If you were on the original email, Vince sent out my address.)
With fixtures not due to be finalised until the end of next week, players noticeable only by their absence and Dawsie tied up with the County Finals on Sunday, our guest speaker will be from Interserve who look after the pitch. See the article above for a picure taken earlier this week when the sun was out. It's looking great and even attracted the resident bunny (about half way between the two LH posts, if you look carefully). A little bit of background on how this vital asset is kept in tip-top shape.
Looking forward to seeing as many as possible next week.
PS. Apologies for a slight error in the main article - I have been reminded by several people that half term is actually this week. Sorry if that confused/disappointed anyone. (I was originally told that by a teacher...)
Close on 40 in attendance today. Thanks to everyone for getting sorted in advance - really helps everything run smoothly.
200 Club results: 1st - 47; 65.
A good little talk from Shaun (Interserve) on keeping the pitch in shape. A whole lot more work than you might think...
Nothing definite yet, but start checking your diary for the first Wednesday in July and - December for the Xmas Grand Prize bash! Confirmation to follow on this site asap.
