The £1.50 a pint night

The lock in !!

After the disappointment of the cancelled friendly against Worcester on Friday evening, the club decided to have an open doors session to all comers to help dispose of the last of the barrels of real ale in the supporter’s marquee at the club instead.

This was well attended by folk who were anxious to take advantage of the cheap ale along with some food and of course a good chat with friends.  An unexpected chance of a bargain was not to be missed, better than a boot sale at the creek on a wet Sunday morning some said.

I’m told that as the beer festival the previous Saturday was so well received, with large numbers of supporters expressing their wishes for another one soon, it is just a possibility, although of course it’s early days and nothing has been officially confirmed as yet, that the club could be looking at the opportunity of doing it again sometime this season which would be great, let’s hope the weather is better next time
