Have a look at just some of the events going on at Brickfields over the next week or so. A curry and pint for just £3.50 this Saturday. A quiz night where you can walk away with money. and A chance to watch England take on Italy!
With Albion out of the EDF Energy National Trophy and the cut backs at the club you could be forgiven for thinking that there will not be much going on over the next couple of weeks. But you would be wrong!
To start with the Cowin will be open from 6pm this Saturday for those travelling back from Sandy Park for
"A curry and a pint" for just £3.50.
If you are not able to make the trip then you will also be welcome and should have a chance to watch the DVD of the match.
A great chance to chill out with other supporters and talk about the match. The players are coming back and may also come into the marquee.
This will save you money and save the need to prepare dinner/supper.
If the DVD is available in time for Saturday then it will not be shown on Thursday night as has been the custom this season unless I get requests for that match or another one that has has not yet been shown.
Friday 6th February will the first Supporters Website quiz night. It will also be the biggest ever event and will help the club with bar receipts and profits to the website sponsored players.
Scoreboardender has agreed to set the questions and be quiz master. Teams can be made up of any number of players from 1 to 5 at just £2 per player with 50% of the takings going to make up the cash prize. For this first event this will a single prize for the first place team.
The clubhouse has been booked but if numbers are large we will move into the "Sponsors Marquee". With the quiz starting at 7:30 you are asked to turn up at 7pm to register and get yourself a drink.
The quiz will be split into a number of themed rounds, including a picture round and plenty of chance to replenish your glasses. It will NOT be a rugby quiz and should be suitable for all tastes and knowledge levels.
The evening will be a chance to have some fun, make new friends and learn some useless information.
If successful we will be repeated initially on a monthly basis.
simple rules
1. No cheating (using mobiles or asking to non participants etc)
2. each team may contain more than 5 players.
3. In the event of two or more teams receiving the same number point then a tie breaker question will be used to decide the winner.
4. Quizmasters decision is final.
Saturday 7th Feb sees England take on Italy at 3pm and there will be the chance to watch the match in the Cowin on the big screen. The plan is to offer a meal and a pint for just £5. The meal will probably be Chilli or Curry but when I find out I will let you know.
Food will be served from around 2pm.
We would also like to do something for the rest of the England Internationals. On Sunday 15th March England take on France at 3pm.
What do people think of a Sunday lunch and rugby date?? please post below with your thoughts.
Don't let anything get in the way of a good game of Rugby
