Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell is set to field a strong team for the clash with Everton.

After fielding a weakened team for the FA Cup defeat at Manchester City at the weekend, Paul Jewell will field a much stronger side for tonights game.

Latics captain Arjan de Zeeuw is poised to return to the side after three games out with the ankle ligament damage he sustained at Leeds United.

Midfielder David Thompson returns after being cup-tied at the weekend, but Lee McCulloch, David Connolly, David Wright and Emerson Thome are still sidelined.

For Everton, Tim Cahill returns from suspension for Everton, while Alan Stubbs is also back after being cup-tied for Saturday's FA Cup draw with Chelsea.

James Beattie (calf) and James McFadden (nose and leg) are both rated doubtful.
