Jewell brands Neil Warnock "a coward"

Latics boss Paul Jewell branded Sheffield United’s Neil Warnock “a coward” after the latter’s touchline antics at the JJB on Saturday.

After referee Peter Walton overturned a penalty decision on the advice of his linesman, a great deal of finger wagging and pointing was seen in the dug-outs between the two managers.

"Neil is the biggest coward in the Premier League,” said Jewell. “He knows that no one's going to hit him because you'd be on a charge, so he can say what he likes.

"Neil moans about every single refereeing decision, whether it's right or wrong.

"People are talking about the decline of Wigan Athletic. But we've got two more points than Sheff United and I wouldn't change our situation for theirs."
