Emile Heskey is likely to pass a fitness test on his injured thigh and be fit to face Bolton Wanderers at The Reebok tomorrow (Saturday).

Antonio Valencia, Josip Skoko and Fitz Hall all have injuries meaning the Latics line-up is likely to be unchanged from that which was victorious at Fulham last week.

 

Bolton meanwhile, have Quinton Fortune, Joey O'Brien and Ricardo Gardner out through injury and captain Kevin Nolan is serving the final match of his three-game suspension for his red card at Blackburn Rovers.

"I had been happy with the performances but we weren't getting results and I got fed up of saying 'It will come right'.

"In the end, I had to kick a few backsides because we needed to get back to being hard to beat.

"I am not getting carried away because it is only two wins on the bounce but so far it seems to have worked."
