Find here a translation of what was said in F1.pl regarding BMW Sauber's performances so far in Bahrain, and the explanations of it. Kubica about KERS, the tyres and BMW's form in Bahrain: "When it comes to using KERS or not, for me there is no ideal option, it's about choosing the lesser of two evils [either too little ballast to play with, or the lack of powerboost]. Here it seems it's better to have the system. We're using it not at once, but four, five or even six times a lap."

"The super-soft tyre is the way to go, but its degradation is bigger than we experienced in the winter here. But that is the effect of higher temperatures."

"The balance isn't ideal yet, but let's see what tomorrow (for today, saturday) brings. It seems that we're somewhere in between what was seen in the first [3rd fastest] and second practice [17th fastest]. The competition is really tight and every 0.05s can make a difference. And in the midfield and that's where we are at the moment, even every 0.01s can help."

Heidfeld about the wind: "Our car is very wind-sensitive and the wind was quite strong really, so the balance was not great. Tomorrow the wind direction will probably change and that should make it less of a problem for the drivers. Today the car was really unstable under braking and it was difficult to hit the apex because of the understeer."

Alonso has a slightly different opinion: "The wind is not helping, especially in turns 5 and 6 which are placed at the track's highest point, but at least it's quite regular. But anyway it was not as windy as it's here usually, and that actually made driving today kinda strange. If the wind gets stronger tomorrow, it will be back to what we are used to have here."
