It is the fans' day: the third Fan Event in the history of the BMW Sauber F1 Team takes place this coming Saturday. The venue for the spectacular event is the BMW branch in Fröttmaning. Before the BMW Sauber F1 Team travels to South America for the Brazilian Grand Prix, all Race Club members have the opportunity to meet the drivers and team members, and to experience a thrilling day.
Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica will be there, as will test drivers Christian Klien and Marko Asmer, BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, Walter Riedl, Peter Sauber and other team members. The gates open at 10:00hrs.
Theissen knows how important an event like this is for fans of the BMW Sauber F1 Team: "Of course this Fan Event is something special for the fans, but it is also special for me, the other team members and the drivers," says the German. "Only here do you get a real impression of the Race Club and how enthusiastic its members are."
"I have seen many familiar faces again at the Fan Event," says Nick Heidfeld, looking back on the past two events. "The atmosphere was super. Feedback on the Race Club is really positive. You enjoy many benefits as a member, and even have the chance to visit us at our test sessions. That is often even more interesting than a race, as you really get the opportunity to see things close up. It is definitely well worth it."
The Fan Event is exclusively for Race Club members. If you are not yet a member, you can easily join online today in the Race Club section of the Official website. If you register by 25th October, you will not have to pay the entry price of ten Euros. All members can then reserve a place at the Fan Event. Simply send an email with the subject "Fan Event" to service@bmw-sauber-f1.com.
