GLS Football who are The Fleet's official sponsor have pulled out from sponsoring us, as well as loads of other clubs as well. A official statement is just a click away.

A statement was made on GLS Football Website saying the following:

Statement from GLS Football Limited

Due to having had three cancer operations since August 2004, the last one being a tumour, Victor Gladwish is not permitted to drive. Victor has struggled to find a driver since February 2005 and as GLS Football Ltd had lost £250,000 in the last 2 years it was decided to close the company.

A statement was issued on Sunday 11th December to all clubs that had either a full contract or shirt sponsorship that GLS Football Ltd would cease during the following week. Announcements were also made on this website, on the www.nonleaguedaily.com website and articles have appeared in the Sussex and Kent newspapers. Victor Gladwish also appeared on BBC South-east television on the 15th December 2005 and spoke on BBC Radio Kent on the 16th December 2005.

From the 12th to 18th December 2005 the company assets of furniture and equipment, car and all of its stock of football kits and publications were sold in order to pay its debts. On the 19th December the final transaction was done.

GLS Football Limited regrets the situation brought about by illness and lack of drivers and wishes all concerned good luck in the future.

GLS Football will continue to support Gravesend & Northfleet till the end of this season. The club have received all it’s money from the company as well so that’s not a problem, and the directors are now on the look out for a new sponsor for next season.
