James Vaughan will be out for at least another 2 months after yet another injury set back resulting in a second operation on his knee being needed. Vaughan picked up the knee injury while on duty for England under-19's in September. Vaughan has been greatly missed this season with Everton having striking problems. Everton have scored just 15 league goals this season and now have just three recognised fit strikers in the squad after the sale of Marcus Bent to Charlton. It could have been an ideal time for the 17 year old to stake his claim for a regular place in the starting line up.

Moyes said, 'He is a big miss as he would have given us an extra striker and had chances to play, and has missed so much now because of two knee operations.'

However Vaughan will now miss at least the next two months of the season because of this operation and you would not be surprised if he doesnt appear again until next season. Hopefully it will not affect his career in the long term, he has a promising career ahead of him does the Premierships youngest ever goalscorer and the last thing he needs would be for a knee injury to ruin his career before it starts.
