Everton Take U's Pair on Trial

Everton have taken 2 teenagers from Cambridge on trial. Michael Morrison, who is 17 and Adam Davies, who is 18, have joined up with Everton to train for a few days. If they impress then manager David Moyes could offer them permanent deals. They are both defenders and have been starting games this season for Cambridge in the Conference. Adam Davies has also been capped at Wales under-21 level.

Cambridge manager Rob Newman said, 'They have aspirations to play at a high level. Hopefully this will give them more determination to try to fulfil them.'

This would not be the first time Everton have signed young players from Cambridge. Last January they completed the signing of young England under-19 keeper John Ruddy for 250k.
