As reported her a few months ago, and before that in the summer, it now looks certain the talented irish striker is leaving White Hart Lane. Robbie Keane has expressed his frustration at the lack of first team opportunities and a move would be the only way to re-ignite his career.

The striker's contract is up in the summer and Jol is more than happy to keep the forward on the bench in favour of Defoe/Mido partnership, which has proven to be successful so far this season.

But with the strikers contract up for expiry in the summer, EFC could launch a bid to capture the forward for a small fee in January, which would leave Spurs something for his departure.

With rumours already circulating regarding signings in January, including a return of Thomas Gravesen, Nuggent (from Preston North End), Commons (from Forrest), Thorvaldsson (Halmstad) and now, more recently, Hanstveit from Brann, it looks as though there will be a flurry of transfer activity.
