Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta has been released from hospital following a horrific challenge by midfielder Mihaita Plesan of Dinamo Bucharest in last Thursday's match in the Uefa Cup first round second leg. Arteta was released on Friday afternoon after spending the night in hospital as a precaution. The news that Arteta has been released comes as a boost to David Moyes as it was feared Arteta could have been out for a long period after being stretchered off in a neck brace in the final few minutes. Arteta was Evertons best player on the night and has been one of the few conistently good players this season so David Moyes and all Evertonians will be hoping to see him back in action as soon as possible. It is unlikely he will be involved on Sunday against Manchester City but a final decision will be left until shortly before kick off.
