Nuno Valente wants to win the Uefa Cup this season with Everton. The Portuguese international who turned 31 yesterday has already won the Uefa Cup with Porto believes that he can repeat that success this season. Valente made his debut in the 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth on saturday wants to put that behind him and concentrate on progressing thorugh the first round of the Uefa Cup into the group stage. Valente who has also won the Champions League hopes that his experience in European competitions can have some factor in helping Everton gain some silverware this season.

'I hope my experience will help but the most important thing is being together as a team and working hard as a team. It is very important that we win the first game of the Uefa Cup and to do that we must be together.'
