Sam Allardyce has continued to clear the decks in time for next season as Khalilou Fadiga, Matt Jansen, Oscar Perez and Bedi Buval have all been told they are free to leave the Wanderers. Fadiga joined the Bolton ranks in September 2004 after a year in the wilderness at Italian giants Inter Milan. Previous problems involving an irregular heartbeat threatened to end his career as he collapsed before the Wanderers cup game with Tottenham Hotspur just a month into his career in England.

The Senegal international was then given the all clear for a second time after having an automatic defibrilator fitted to his heart but his participation in the Bolton first eleven proved minimal with his best spell in the side coming whilst a number of his fellow Africans where playing at this years African Nations Cup.

A knee injury against Wigan Athletic ended his season and indeed his Bolton career. He made 13 league appearances during his time at the Reebok Stadium and scored once in the game at Portsmouth.

One time England squad member Jansen was a transfer deadline day signing from local rivals Blackburn Rovers. He made his debut against his old team at Ewood Park in mid-January but injury problems that had plagued his recent career came back to haunt him as he was sidelined for over a month with an ankle injury. All in all the striker made six appearances for the Trotters without getting himself on the scoresheet.

Buval and Perez never made an appearance for the first team but they had been on the bench at various points during 2005-2006. Attacking midfield ace Buval had been with the club for three years and came through the Academy ranks but injury ended his season prematurely in the New Year.

Spaniard Perez on the other hand was a shock capture from Corboda in January and was described as a player of promise by Sam Allardyce. He is now expected to make the return to his homeland to play in the lower reaches of the Spanish leagues.

Ivan Campo has been offered terms of re-engagement and the club are hopeful of striking a deal with Fiorentina for loan star Hidetoshi Nakata. The rest of the squad will all be retained for another season at least.
