Bolton Wanderers could have a big say on who claims the Premiership title as they take on holders Chelsea at the Reebok Stadium tommorow lunchtime.

If the Wanderers can claim a win against the Blues and Manchester United defeat Sunderland tonight then the race for top spot will not be as clear cut as was once predicted.

Ironically it was just under twelve months ago that Chelsea won their first Premiership title following a visit to the Reebok when two goals from Frank Lampard made all the difference.

However, Bolton won't want to concern themselves too much with what other teams are doing as they themselves need points to stop a four game losing streak which has hampered their hopes of qualifying for European football for the second successive season.

To stop the rot Trotters boss Sam Allardyce will look to give the likes of Ivan Campo, Matt Jansen, Hidetoshi Nakata and Jared Borgetti more playing time and it is Campo who is the most likely to get the nod tommorow in what could be his first start in over two months.

Senegal international midfielder Khalilou Fadiga is the only long term injury concern for Bolton as he will miss the rest of the campaign with knee ligament damage.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has a near to full squad to choose from with England U21 full back Glen Johnson being the only doubt having been suffering from a hernia problem over recent weeks.

Ex-Wanderers star Eidur Gudjohnsen is named in the visitors squad and he could start alongside Claude Makelele and Frank Lampard in the midfield area.

IT HAPPENED WHEN BOLTON PLAYED CHELSEA

A year ago two Frank Lampard goals gave Chelsea their first top flight title in half a century. Seven years previously the Blues had relegated a battling Bolton team at Stamford Bridge

Yugoslav midfielder Sasa Curcic scored two stunning goals for Bolton against the Blues in the 1995-96 season and both made Match of the Day's goal of the month competition.

The late Matthew Harding was tragically killed in a helicopter when coming back from Chelsea's Coca Cola Cup defeat at then Nationwide league Bolton in the autumn of 1996. Chelsea now have a stand named after their well liked former director

April 1983 saw a goal from the balding winger Clive Walker save the Blues from relegation against the Wanderers, but unfortunately for Bolton they eventually made the drop instead after a final day humiliation at Charlton Athletic.
