Allardyce Lands Fine Following Riley Outburst

Sam Allardyce has been handed a £2,000 fine and warned about his future conduct following comments made towards referee Mike Riley in January. The Football Association have decided to punish the Bolton boss with an improper conduct charge after he questioned the Riley's handling of the Wanderers goalless draw with local rivals Blackburn Rovers on 14th January.

Japanese midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata was harshly shown the red card for Bolton and Allardyce felt that this course of action lead to an outbreak of violence between rival sets of supporters in the stands.
