Hammers Appeal For Information Over Flare Incident

Premiership rivals West Ham United are appealing for information to find the culprit who threw a flare onto the pitch when their side played Bolton Wanderers earlier this month. An official statement on the Hammers official website which relates to the incident on Wednesday 15th March 2006 read:

"A flare was thrown on to the pitch from the Centenary Stand Lower just after Marlon Harewood scored the winning goal against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup Fifth Round replay on Wednesday 15th March.

If anyone knows who threw the flare, or has any information about this unfortunate incident, you can TEXT 07969 042837. All information will be treated as confidential.

Incendiary devices such as flares can pose a serious risk to the safety of supporters and/or players and they are banned from being brought into the Stadium. Any supporter found in possession of such an item faces arrest and a possible Club ban."
