Bolton targets Steven Davis and Steve Cherundolo have confirmed that they are happy to stay with their respective clubs despite speculation linking them with moves away.
Northern Ireland international Davis has put in a string of impressive performances for a struggling Aston Villa team this season and the Wanderers where mentioned in one of the national newspapers as holding an strong interest in the player but the young midfielder says he is more than happy to stay at Villa Park for the foreseeable future.
"I'm more than happy here at Villa Park. Someone told me about me being linked with Bolton in the paper but I don't really take much notice of it. I'm happy here so it doesn't mean anything. I signed my contract, I'm getting the chance to play so I'm more than happy at Villa." he said to the Villans official site
American wing back Cherundolo also hit out at rumours linking him with a move away from German club Hannover 96 and blamed the local media for unsettling the situation in recent days.
"The press here has done an excellent job on speculating and throwing names and rumours out there." he told Yanks Abroad
"To be honest with you, a lot of this is just going around because they have nothing to write about. I have a contract for two more years. I expect to be playing next year in Hannover, so that is how I am going about this summer."
Wanderers officials have refused to pass comment on speculation linking players with transfers to and from the club.
