Allardyce Tells Ben-Haim To Show Respect

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce says that star defender Tal Ben-Haim must show more respect to the senior members of the Wanderers squad. Ben-Haim reacted badly to criticism from team mate Jay-Jay Okocha during Saturday's win over West Ham United and Allardyce has warned the young centre back to exersice a little more common sense in the future.

"Tal should have a little bit more respect for a senior player when he comes over to have a word with him. But he does tend to get a little bit mouthy at times.

"It shows passion between players but it did not get out of hand, I am glad to say. Mike Dean (the referee) quite rightly had a word with him to calm down and get on with it."

Both players are expected to be in the Bolton squad for their FA Cup replay at West Ham on Wednesday evening.
