Bolton reserves could not hold on to their two goal advantage during last night's FA Premier Reserve League clash against Liverpool reserves in Leyland.
Jimmy Phillips side were leading by two goals to one at the interval but a late second half flurry saw the Reds come back to win the game in the last ten minutes thanks to a goal from David Raven.
Mexican international Jared Borgetti had the home sides first chance of the evening when he headed a left wing cross from Joey O'Brien straight into the arms of the alert Liverpool goalkeeper Paul Willis.
On the half hour mark the Trotters took the lead when Hidetoshi Nakata's dangerous free kick was converted by Jarostaw Fojut from close range and less than a minute later that advantage had been doubled as Nakata found Borgetti, with the experienced striker making no mistake to fire the ball past helpless keeper Willis.
Liverpool got back into the match shortly before the break as Danny Guthrie headed a cross from substitute Adam Hammill past the stranded Bolton keeper Chris Howarth to make the scoreline 2-1.
Wanderers still had a bit to do before victory was rubber stamped and in an entertaining second half they were made to pay as Liverpool firstly levelled and then went on to win the game to leave the Trotters in total shock.
Highly rated midfielder David Mannix fired a fine free kick past Howarth with just a quarter of an hour remaining to pull the Reds back level and this was followed on by a scrappy winner which came from David Raven on 82 minutes after the Bolton defence had failed to clear their lines.
