El-Hadji Diouf has been named as the Walking Down The Manny Road player of the month for August following a recent poll in which you the readers decide the outcome. The former Liverpool and Rennes marksman was adjudged to be the best Bolton player throughout the past four weeks beating off strong competition from the likes of Ivan Campo and Stelios Giannakopoulos.

Record-signing Diouf has appeared in every Bolton game so far this season and has managed to hit the target during the recent home win against Newcastle United.
