The Oldham Evening Chronicle is claiming that Bolton will take Manchester City to the High Courts following their conduct in the Stelios Giannakopoulos saga.
Bolton state that Giannakopoulos is now unsettled with them and wants to move on after City made their interest in the player public knowledge over the weekend. The Trotters are now said to be considering possible legal action against their local rivals according to Tony Bugby of the Chronicle.
City spokesperson Paul Tyrrel says that the Blues have not acted unprofessionally and have worked well within the correct channels when in pursuit of the player who has an alleged £1 million get-out clause in his contract.
"We believe we have conducted ourselves properly."
“We made a verbal offer to Sam Allardyce on Friday and followed that up the next day with a formal written offer.”
