Sam Allardyce admits that he is slightly nervous going into the new season as he is yet to put the finishing touches to his squad. The Bolton manager had hoped to have more players at his disposal, but a number of setbacks over the summer means that Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye and Ian Walker are the only new faces on show against Aston Villa tommorow.

Japanese star Hidetoshi Nakata is expected to complete his loan move from Fiorentina over the next couple of days to further strengthen the Wanderers hand, but Big Sam is still very wary of making any premature predictions about the destiny of his team.

"I am a bit worried considering the demands on us for I have not finished building my squad yet, We are still a number of players short so it is very difficult to predict how we will get on this season.

"When the transfer window closes I will be more relaxed and perhaps in a position then to set targets. It is difficult to do that at the moment."

"The Premiership is the all important thing. That will always be the case. It is the only way this club will survive."
