Bolton Wanderers striker El-Hadji Diouf has told reporters that he would like to stay with the club for the remainder of his career.
The 24-year old has fitted in well at the Reebok Stadium since signing from Liverpool on an initial loan deal a year ago, and he is now hopeful of playing for the Trotters until he eventually retires from the game.
Diouf stated that Bolton has made him feel the most welcome during his career so far, whether it be the people from within the club such as the board of directors, or the people outside the club, such as the growing number of Wanderers supporters at home and abroad.
"This is the best Club I've been at. From the fantastic supporters to the chairman, everyone makes me feel welcome. This is my second family and I owe it to Bolton to be successful here. There is no other Club I want to play for and I want to sign with the Club for life!" Diouf told the official website
The Senegalese star also praised the fantastic support which he had received during the Trotters Asia Cup tournament in Thailand last week, a competition which he had the distinction of scoring the winning penalty during Saturday's final against the Thailand U-23 team.
"It was an amazing sight to see so many fans wear Bolton shirts and have a great knowledge of the Club - that's the pull of the Barclays Premiership.
"The people in Asia are football crazy. It is good to see that they have such a great passion for the game and I love coming here to share their passion.
"It feels good that so many fans want my autograph and picture. I am only too pleased to sign for them."
Ex-Lens forward Diouf was also looking forward to the final leg of the Asia tour in Japan, a country which gave him and team-mate Khalilou Fadiga many happy memories as it was during the 2002 World Cup that Senegal pulled off an unlikely victory against the then World Champions France.
"Japan has been good to me in my career and one of my greatest memories will always be Japan 2002 when I helped Senegal beat France in the World Cup. They never forget to remind me of that great day."
