Red Tape Could Scupper Move For Lens Ace

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Red Tape is stopping him from sealing the loan signing of powerful Lens midfielder Abdoulaye Diange-Faye The 27-year old Senegal star seemed likely to seal a move to the Reebok Stadium to join compatriots El-Hadji Diouf and Khalilou Fadiga but work permit problems have arised due to the fact that the African has not played enough games for his country over the last year.

Allardyce told the official website that he has a good case for a review given the fact that Diange-Faye has spent the last few seasons playing in the French Ligue 1.

"We may have a problem with Faye's work permit sadly, but I think we have a really good case. He is a strong player who has played in France and for his country." he explained
