Real Sociedad manager Chris Coleman has denied that he has spoken with officials at Bolton Wanderers about their managerial vacancy but the ex-Fulham boss won't rule out a quick return to the Premier League.

Coleman has been one of the front runners to take over at the Reebok Stadium ever since Sammy Lee parted company with the club by mutual consent last week but the one time Welsh international defender is yet to speak with anyone at the Trotters.

He is just a few months into a three year contract with Sociedad and admits that a return to the Premier League would be a temptation he would find hard to turn down.

"I signed a three-year contract with La Real (Sociedad), I said all along that the thing that would tempt me away from La Real would be the Premier League," said Coleman who ended his four year reign with Fulham six months ago.

"But Bolton have to ask me to go to Bolton, this hasn't happened, and La Real have to say "okay you can leave" and this hasn't happened."

The 37-year old accepts the speculation will arise every time there is a vacancy with a top English club but he seemingly remains commited to getting Sociedad back into La Liga at the first attempt.

"I understand the speculation but in the Premier League manager's lose their jobs quickly in a season, and maybe in a month or two months there will be a different club with no manager and maybe i'll be linked"

"I have seen the speculation, my name has been linked to Bolton, as have many names in England, but for me I am at La Real" added the former Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers man

Earlier reports in some of the Sunday newspapers claimed that Bolton had already met with Coleman and a £1 million compensation package would need to be agreed in order to prize him back to the UK.

Speculation still surrounds Leicester boss Gary Megson who still hasn't signed a contract with the Foxes and didn't take any post match questions following their game at Scunthorpe United.

Ex-Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers manager Graeme Souness was also mentioned heavily as a target in today's edition of the Sunday People.
