Bolton Wanderers reserves are looking for their first league win of the new season when they entertain near neighbours Wigan Athletic tonight in what will be only the second game to be played at the County Ground since the Trotters lifted the Reserve League North championship..

So far this campaign Jimmy Phillips side have drawn two and lost one of the three games played with last weeks game against Manchester United in Northwich ending one a piece with Bolton's goal coming courtesy of Chris Basham.

Last season the Wanderers won both their games against Wigan by a singular goal. Firstly ,senior midfielder Kevin Nolan scored a penalty when the two sides met at the Robin Park Arena in November 2006 and then an unfortunate own goal by defender Andreas Granqvist ensured Bolton extended their winning run just over six months ago.

Phillips picks a similar side to the one which played United last week, with former Bristol Rovers defender Chris Stokes hoping for better luck after the left back put through his own net on his reserve debut.
