Strike pair Nicolas Anelka and El-Hadji Diouf have both confirmed that their long term futures may lie away from Bolton Wanderers after the club sunk to their third consecutive league defeat at the weekend.

Anelka has once again been linked with a move to Premiership champions Manchester United, whilst Portsmouth and West Ham United also trail the French international.

Bids between £9 and £12 million have been suggested in the media for the man who was Bolton's record signing at £8 million from Turkish giants Fenerbahce just over a year ago.

The ex-Arsenal and Manchester City striker claims he does not nessacerily want to leave the Wanderers and states his pending sale is down to money.

"The English league is the most media exposed, the more exciting, the nicer to watch. Even if I feel comfortable at Bolton, the club needs money so it is possible that I leave before the close of the window transfer" said the much travelled attacker.

Diouf too has been linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium with the Senegal star wanting to play for a club who has ambitions to play in the Champions League.

The former Liverpool striker claims Bolton are asking a bit too much for him and are therefore putting off interested clubs.

"I have five clubs who want me but I don’t want to go for going. I want to go to somewhere where I will be happy.

“But Bolton want a lot of money for me. They are asking for £10m. I want to play in the Champions League or with a club that wants to be there next season.” said the 26-year old Diouf.

If Bolton where to lose the two it would leave a big hole in their strike force needing to be filled before the closure of the transfer window.

Of those that remain for definate, Kevin Davies is currently injured and has never been the most prolific and Heidar Helguson and Ricardo Vaz-Te netted just four goals between them last season.
