New Bolton Wanderers signing Christian Wilhelmsson is relishing the prospect of being able to play in the Premiership week in week out after joining the Wanderers on a year long loan deal from French club FC Nantes earlier today. .

The 27-year old will complete the formalities of his move to the Reebok Stadium once international clearance has been received and he says that the club's playing staff, stadium and facilities impressed him greatly.

Wilhelmsson has always wanted to play in the Premier League and the fact that the club is competing in the UEFA Cup is a big plus point for the versatile winger.

"It's always been a matter of England, Italy or Spain for me, It's a good club, with a new stadium and some big names on the books.

"In the Premier League, it's big matches every week and additionally Bolton will play in the Uefa Cup. I can't comment on the salary, but I am pleased." said Wilhelmsson to Expressen.

This is not the first time that Wilhelmsson has played in another country, throughout his career he has played in Belgium, France, Italy and Norway as well as his home country.

He can also speak very good English and is sure to take little time in adapting to the English game, especially now Wanderers manager Sammy Lee has reverted the formation back to a 4-4-2 system.
