One of the FA Premier League's finest ever strikers could be making his way to Bolton Wanderers this summer after being told that his current contract with Champions League finalists Liverpool would not be extended at the end of the 2006-2007 season.

Robbie Fowler is leaving the Reds in the close season after scoring 183 goals in 368 games over two seperate spells and Sky Sports have already labelled the Trotters with an interest in the 32-year old.

It is not the first time that the former England forward has been linked with a move to the Reebok Stadium as a year ago previous Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce confirmed that he would love to take the player on should he leave Anfield.

Nowadays Bolton are managed by Fowler's one time Liverpool coach Sammy Lee and they also have Nicolas Anelka, a successful strike partner of Fowler during their time together at Manchester City.

As well as Bolton, clubs in the American Major League Soccer and Hyundai A-League in Australia have been linked with Fowler and such an established name would help to improve the crowds in those respective countries.
