Bolton skipper Kevin Nolan is disappointed with the conduct of Reading defender Michael Duberry after the two clashed at the Reebok Stadium last weekend. Veteran centre half Duberry put in a clattering challenge on Nolan moments before the halftime interval which forced the 24-year old to go to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.

Fortunately, Nolan has only sustained bruising in the incident and could be back for Bolton's trip to Chelsea at the weekend but the midfielder is still angry and has launched a scathing attack on former Chelsea and Leeds man Duberry in his weekly BBC column.

"I just hope that I am fit to play on Saturday (against Chelsea), I thought that I had broken a bone after being the victim of a very bad tackle. What really annoyed me was that at no point did Duberry ask if I was okay."

"There was no tap on the back at the time or quick enquiry after the game. I was substituted at the break and for all he knew I might have broken my leg. Bad tackles happen but I was disappointed by what Duberry did - or rather didn't - afterwards."

Duberry joined Reading in January after re-launching his once promising career in the lower leagues with Championship side Stoke City over the last couple of seasons.
