French forward Nicolas Anelka has hinted that he could be tempted to finish his career with his current club Bolton Wanderers. The 27-year old has had a reputation in years gone by for not staying at a club for lengthy spells but he is content at the moment to stay at the Reebok Stadium rather than make the move elsewhere.

In just ten years Anelka has clocked up some air miles playing for Paris Saint Germain (twice), Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce but he says he could settle now with Bolton until he retires from the game.

"I can see myself finishing my career here, Why not?. I have experienced a lot of things with clubs in different countries. I could settle here even though I have qualities to play for a bigger club." said the Wanderers record signing

"I know that I can have one, two or three good seasons and bounce back with another club. But I can also stay at Bolton for the rest of my career and still play well."

Anelka is currently Bolton's top goalscorer falling just one short of double figures for the season. If he gets another goal, which is more than likely, then he will become the first Bolton striker since Michael Ricketts to get over ten goals in the Premiership over the course of a season.
